"From the moment we were greeted by head waiter (Javier?) we knew we were in for a special dining experience. We had been to other fine steak houses (Shulas, Gallaghers, Flemings, Pappas) but these prime steaks were absolutely the most delicious and tender steaks we have had ! And the steaks come with small side and some vegetables, not just naked on a plate like the above listed. Having been overwhelmed by the exquisite atmosphere in Phoenix , we were prepared for a slight letdown in San Diego ( lightning rarely strikes twice... ) but the experienced equaled or maybe surpassed our previous Donovan's visit.
"A great steakhouse. I prefer my steaks rare, but do not typically order that way because I have found that not many chefs know how to do rare correctly. I decided to take a chance here and was very pleased. I ordered a very thick, bone-in New York strip, it melted in my mouth."
